On The Yard: HBCU's Vs. The World

About

For years, historically black colleges and universities have worked to create an identity for themselves and continue to be successful at it. Now that we are in a time where there are over 100 HBCU's leaving their marks across the United States, it's time to celebrate the culture that has been undeniably the reference point for so many entertainment outlets, political candidates, moments in fashion, and moments on social media. This podcast started as a master’s thesis project and has transformed into something that is not strictly academic based. It’s an outlet for HBCU students to share their experiences, celebrate their experiences and discuss the impact of their experiences on a global scale.

Founder

My name is Dante Turner. I am a Baltimore, MD native and I possess both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree from two different HBCUs! I am naturally a creative in all aspects of the word. I love to continually foster this brand that I have created for myself through different avenues (i.e- party curation/promotion, emceeing, podcasting, music, & etc.) which has lead to an established necessity to network. My goal is to always build with other creatives and be responsible for something special, meaningful, and long lasting!
